A controlled path from arrival to release for laboratory work.
Check before opening
Record arrival time, sender, outer-packaging integrity and any indication of excursion. Photographic documentation can help when damage is present. Compare the shipment with the order before labels are removed or discarded.
Document reconciliation
The material name and identifier should agree across packaging, delivery note and analytical document. A mismatch, incomplete label or unknown shipping condition leads to temporary quarantine and supplier contact.
Release and storage location
After review, material receives an internal identifier, defined location and status such as “under review” or “available for research”. The decision, responsible person and date are recorded to prevent unintended use before checks are complete.
